Atlantis Holdings, L.L.C., is an acquisitions and development company indicative of American ingenuity and hard work. Its owner, Matthew W. Di Gioia, was born in 1960 and grew up as the youngest of six children in a middle class suburb of Philadelphia.

Matthew moved to Wilmington, NC in 1998, and brought with him a diverse background in real estate development. Di Gioia recognized that the Wilmington area was a boomtown well on its way and started acquiring and selling several small but lucrative residential and commercial properties.

Atlantis Holdings soon set its sights on creating a commercial node by parceling together 11 small tracts of land at an existing but underutilized intersection. Large land tract resources like this are limited in a county that is essentially a peninsula, surrounded by the Cape Fear River, Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. This led to the creation Belle Meade Centre and its adjoining residential components, a premier mixed-use development that will potentially encompass over 70 acres of prime real estate.
